फ़ील्ड कार्य अनुभव:

  1. 2023 में पिछले भूस्खलन और भूस्खलन प्रभावित स्थानों के बारे में बुनियादी जानकारी इकट्ठा करने के लिए केरल के इडुक्की जिले का दौरा किया।
  2. 2023 में ग्राउंड पेनेट्रेटिंग रडार का उपयोग करके सब्सिडेंस एफेक्ट को समझने के लिए जोशीमठ क्षेत्र का दौरा किया।
  3. 2019 में चरम घटनाओं के कारण पृथ्वी की सतह की गतिशीलता कार्यशाला के दौरान नेपाल में भूकंप जनित भूस्खलन प्रभावित क्षेत्र का दौरा किया।
  4. 2017 भारत के उत्तराखंड राज्य में ग्राउंड पेनेट्रेटिंग रडार का उपयोग करके भूस्खलन आकृति विज्ञान और उप सतह संरचना को समझने के लिए ऊपरी गंगा जलग्रहण क्षेत्र में गोहना और उखीमठ भूस्खलन का दौरा किया।

  8. 2015 में नेपाल में 2015 के गोरखा भूकंप विच्छेदन क्षेत्र में और उसके आसपास भूकंप के बाद के पैलियो-भूकंप विज्ञान का अध्ययन।
  9. 2015 में हिमालय काराकोरम तिब्बत (एचकेटी) सम्मेलन-2015 के दौरान कुमाऊं हिमालय में लघु हिमालय का दौरा किया।

Ravichandran, Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences Government of India, visited the National Centre for Earth Science Studies High Altitude Cloud Physics Observatory (HACPO) today at Rajamallay, (10° 9'19.94"N, 77° 1'6.65"E; 1820 m above MSL), Munnar, Kerala. The station is located 5 km westwards of Anamudi (2695 m), the highest peak in the Western Ghats.

    In continuation with National Centre for Earth Science Studies, Ministry of Earth Sciences Government of India Outreach Program in Wayanad, Kerala, Scientists of NCESS, along with the committed social workers and ST Promoter, visited the Mathol Tribal Colony in the 20th Ward of Panamaram Gram Panchayat on February 22, 2024. Situated in the river basin of the Panamaram River, a tributary of the Kabani River, the colony faces the constant threat of floods and experiences severe drought and water scarcity in summer.
